breathe

Today was a blessed day because I
1. Got to live this day
2. Got to be at church
3. Saw friends, aunties and uncles I haven't seen in a long time
4. Met newcomers
5. Witnessed my grandmother's baptism - really, praise the Lord! Last year, exactly this date, it was my grandpa's funeral. My family, grandmother and cousin went to visit him at the cemetery and we realized how happy this day was because my grandmother has declared that she believes in Christ and will forever more follow Him, as well as us knowing that my grandpa is in heaven celebrating.
6. Listened to someone's granddaughter sing "As a Deer" in Chinese to her grandfather who was getting baptized. Her family flew from hk and prepared this special piece for him. It was very touching and I teared up :) What a blessing to have seen this today!
7. Experienced a happy day :D :D :D
8. Saw my cousins that I don't see often and were able to have a good time with them
9. Had a good time with a family that came from Australia/HK to visit
10. Was able to understand and take away from the sermon. I went to the Cantonese worship service and the pastor spoke about the blessing of being able to breathe (which is what I wanted to write about). It's a gift to breathe and it comes from God. The point is that God gives us gifts and doesn't plan on taking these gifts back - which is why it's called gift right? So each day, it's a gift to breathe in and breathe out. But we just take it for granted, like it's "my right to breathe". I found this to be a very good reminder because who knows, I might not be able to breathe tomorrow. And for some people, they have difficulty breathing to begin with. Therefore I find it so praiseworthy to be able to breathe every second.
11. Had fun throwing peas (Peas in a Pod) around with my siblings - HAHAHAH, we are pretty weird I have to say, but it was good times laughing on the floor :D
12. Know God

All in all, I think it is good to count your blessings because you realize how much God works/provides in your life. And when you think about all these blessings, it makes your worries/stresses seem so small because you end up knowing that God is sovereign and is in control in all circumstances! :) Praise God! :D
