It's quite ironic because even on a snow day I decided to go to work!
Perhaps I should have stayed at home but then there wouldn't be enough work for me to last a day so I went to work bahaha! It was nice because I went in late, only a couple of people came in, there was free lunch because a meeting was cancelled, and we had this huge cake to celebrate February birthdays (it was so good but so fat hahah!). I thought I could leave early too, but I ended up leaving just before 6 because it took my brother a long time to get out of the house. So living in a new area (downtown markham), the snowplow trucks don't come to shovel/plow the roads - they've come up with the excuse that because there are still houses under construction then there is no need to plow the snow. So on our way back home, we got stuck at the corner of our house. As a result, we had several men push the car while I was pressing the gas pedal - I know I know! It was so exciting for me cause bahhaha so cool using the stick going forward and reverse and pressing the gas pedal like crazy hahahahaha! And it was a car I've never driven - a volvo sportscar (clearly I don't know the exact name for it). Heh heh heh. After we got out of that ditch, we landed in another one -____- So this time, my brother and I decided to shovel tracks so that we can drive back to our garage. Waah, the most upper body exercise I've done this week hahaha! I now really appreciate the men who go out and shovel snow hahahaah! After shoveling our way back, we decided to make it cleaner so that my dad and sister (as well as other residents) could drive back without being stuck. So intense, so fun! Ahh, it's so wonderful being outside in the snow - to step in inches of snow and even feeling the snow blow into your face (though it hurts sometimes). I know a lot of people don't like the snow because yes skidding occurs and you get stuck and it turns out into a mess and when it melts the slush is pretty bad. However I've come to appreciate this snowstorm (and I'm sure others appreciate it too - i.e. those who don't have to go to school or work). Watching the snow fall and covering the roads, trees, cars, just seeing it cover everything reminded me of God's grace and mercy toward us. As humans, we sin (red) but God, He sent His son to pay for our sins and thus have covered our sins with this white blanket. I see the white blanket (snow) as absorbing all the red (sin) and the end result isn't pink but WHITE!!! So it is a great reminder to me when I see snow covering the earth - how great, merciful, gracious and loving my God is. Praise God! Snow is a beautiful creation, so please enjoy it!
