day 354.
vacuumed the floor! :D
I do enjoy house chores, :P it's better than studying.
today I went to simply and I really enjoyed Peter (korean) and Jason (white) talking about their experiences and how God led them to ultimately work together and fulfilling their great commission. One thing that stood out to me was my lack of Bible knowledge. When Peter was talking, he would quote verses or ask the audience (do you know where this verse is?) or do you know this verse? and I wasn't able to pull up the verses because I haven't taken the time and heart in knowing knowing knowing knowing knowing knowing knowing the verses. I must make an effort in memorizing scripture because it is so handy! Another thing I noticed is how many university students, such as myself, feel that we don't have anything to look forward to (ie. life after graduation, being a professional) and that it all seems too vague, that perhaps we could be doing something more fruitful and meaningful. But as it turns out, God's ways are ALWAYS higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Wherever God has placed us currently will eventually be used for His way. Whether that He is shaping us, refining us to be equipped in areas that would be needed to serve Him in reaching out to the ends of the earth. For Jason, he specialized in english something...aiya..I forgot because it was very technical, but it was a random thing he skilled in and yet God used him in ministry. I found it really amazing how everything works for God, all for His glory!!! I was really interested in how there is so much preparation needed to share the gospel to remote areas! Scouting, learning the culture, learning to speak like them, to have a pilot fly down goods, medic team on standby, police officers and legislation to go through. To minister to people in remote areas would take a large team and also people who major in different areas!! I'm not sure what accountants have in place, but I'm sure that God will work something out. But just the story of how God worked ahead of everyone else! (to have a tribe to have a copy of the new testament years before missionary families go to spread the good news!!) You know, God really cannot be confined in a little space. He has to be epic and work everywhere!! And so, I left simply encouraged, knowing that God has plans for me, in my current position in life, that He will use me to fulfill the way He wants me to the great commission. is that not exciting?! I feel excited :P yaaay PRAISE GOD! :D
