Thank You Lord.

day 259. (saturday)
Participated in the evangelical event hosted by the Toronto Missions Organization (I believe that is the organization name). Wow, so many churches attended and performed (i.e. choir, exercise, jamming); approximately 12 churches in Toronto, Markham, and Mississauga attended! A huge blessing to see all the work of the Holy Spirit! I have to admit, I was really scared talking to little kids. Folding balloon animals is one thing (the easy thing), but speaking to the children is a lot of work! In the beginning, I felt kind of claustrophobic. hahahaa, in the midst of all these chinese people....I just wanted to be alone (i'm an introvert!) I also didn't like how some workers were forcing children, asking them "Do you believe in God?" and "You should believe in Him!". Not that it was necessarily bad, but the way I heard them saying it to the children it felt as if the kid is put on the spot and just saying whatever sounds right to please the adults. Maybe it's just me. However, when I was speaking to a child, wow, so hard! The children are really shy and they don't speak much, and it was like a one-way conversation. The children just mainly nod or look at you blankly. So I really relied on God to move the children. To really open up their hearts to accept a big big God who created heaven and earth and us but because of our sins (such as lying, cheating, making our parents really angry and upset!) we are condemned to death. However, God loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, taking all our shame and guilt and sins. But fear not! Jesus died and rose again on the third day, He conquered death and tore the veil that separated us from God. Yeah...I pray hard that the children soaked in the gospel...God, work in them!

After attending this event, I left with my sister and Tommy to tour downtown! Went for some fancy dancy stuff - everything is so expensive and I see kids buying clothes - wow! They are quite rich. In any case, we walked to the newest guu restaurant! It's bigger, you can sit Japanese-style, and they make such good udons and saba! :D I had a lot of fun eating and chatting with waiter who kept standing beside me! hahahaha, we talked to him about our adventures in Japan :P Guu is a good place to eat! It's loud, but its yummy! haha!

Day 260. (Sunday)
Today, I witnessed the baptismal of my uncle and aunt. Hearing their testimonies were really touching. To hear and see how God has transformed them, what blessings! From an argumentative family to a seeking love and peace family - Hallelujah! I am praying for their family - for their children (my cousins) to truly know God and accept Him.

Other than that, I enjoyed some famjam time with some good old bbqing :) It feels like summer hahaha. And to top it off, a movie - knight and day. A funny movie. However, now my heart is hurting for my brother and his friends. They are on their grad trip and they've unexpectingly been delayed due to the breaking into their rented car. Praise God that no one was hurt. However, there are a lot of missing items....i.e. my green dell netbook. What I realized is that I am somewhat attached to material things....maybe because I know they are fine, since I heard from my brother but when I heard that my netbook was stolen, I screamed/shouted. So bad Doris! >:( so fare thee well material possessions! and a big THANK YOU to God for protecting them.
