Afterwards Denise and Amy arrived from TO!!! yeeee, so exciting to have so many people and hang out!! And my brother came up afterwards to get my dirty clothes for home :D hhaa yeeee. then we all did some fellowshipping over at Li's and Josh's place; eating burgers, waffles, playing piano, talking about Denise's trip, oh so goooood!! :) finally, to end off the day, a girl's slumber partaaay; looking at prom dresses (HAHA) and for errors ;) Saturday was a good day!!
day 298. (sunday)
birthday call for my brother, at a good time too! his friends just came over at my house and they were singing happy birthday when I just called!! yeeee, supaaa skills. hahah no, just good timing :) so I had a lot of fun taking pictures with them though I'm not physically with them; I'm on an ipad hahahaa. it was pretty cool :P
I also drank green tea latte from williams :) c'est delicieux!!
on a side note, I wanted to post something that I found quite amazing or fascinating. Today PT talked about Abram's covenant with God (Genesis 15). How a covenant is formed by taking animals and birds, specifically, a heifer, female goat, ram turtledove, a young pigeon (so animals in general) and cut them up in half!! vision that! so nasty, seeing animals all bloodied up and laying flat on the ground (hahaha pftttt). After slicing the animals in half, the person you are to covenant with, both are you are to walk between the animals take half of each animal home. haha here it comes: then you are BINDED TO THE AGREEMENT and you are legally binded and held responsible for the contract you are with! HAHHAA AFM 231 in the workings! If you fail to keep the covenant, you have breached the contract and will have to face court if you are sued (in today's terms). haha! when PT was talking about this, my eyes lit up and started applying law terms on it :P hahaha I am quite nerdy. But, the amazing thing is how Abram had to wait for God to show up in order to complete the covenant. Abram waited for so long that he fell asleep (Genesis 15:12). If you finish reading Genesis 15 you will see that God did come and made a covenant with well, Himself. He was the only one who walked between the animals by a means of a flaming torch (Genesis 15:17). So technically, God made a covenant with Himself. If you look in Hebrews 6:13-20, this passage talks about the certainty of God's promise. The author talks about God making a promise to Abraham (aka Abram), "he had no one greater by whom to swear, he wore by himself". If you keep reading it you will find that God is the only one who could accomplish what He promised to Abram, that God will bless Abram and multiply him. And God is the only one who can fulfill this because there is not one greater than God. So it was pretty amazing to hear PT talk about how God made a covenant with Himself and fulfilled it. God will never breach contracts. ahhh so sugoi.
