other than that, I am too lazy now to go look for the link but today I read about how, or rather I was reminded how demons know that they are doomed. In fact, when they saw Jesus, they cried out "why are you here? it is not time yet!" (something a long the lines). (Matthew 8:29). John Piper describes it as that the demons know that they will be tortured by the one and only Jesus Christ and that there is nothing they can do. In fact, satan and his angels know of this and what they can only do is to bring people down with them. Wow, I can't believe I never really read this passage before because this really hit me....all these sins I commit....it comes down to hell....where I will be doomed forever...its really a turn off. and what does John Piper say? that whenever you're tempted, or well you really shouldn't be tempted because you won't even like someone who drags you down to something really bad and full of pain and suffering. If you think like that....you don't really want to sin. Unfortunately I have a feeling that we still do...why are humans so weak?! this shows all the more that humans are in need of grace and mercy. We are in need of God. Thank you God.
