day 307.
no. I cannot speak espanol. but PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD!
God is so good! He really puts you in circumstances where it is so spontaneous (though controlled by God) and it is really exciting!
Background.
Jenny, Justin and I left ccf at around 9:45 pm. We were heading back to uwp and as we were reaching university avenue, we heard a girl cry out "wait". Two young girls were running up to us and asked us where the bus stop was. Taken by surprise, we directed them to the nearest bus stop at burger king. The two girls did not seem to understand what we were saying and as a result, we decided to walk them to the burger king bus station (it was on the way to uwp). During the walk to the bus stop, we talked to the two girls to find out that they are exchange students from Spain; that was pretty cool :)
The Problem.
We shortly arrived at the burger king bus stop to find out that they needed to get to "highland mall" (please note that I do not know if that is the correct name of the place) to transfer onto another bus to go home. The last bus from highland mall leaves at 10:15 pm f. It was around 10:03pm when we arrived at the burger king bus stop and we needed to wait seven minutes for the bus to take them to highland mall. Knowing that there is no way the two girls can make it to highland mall in due time, we started to think of solutions.
The Solutions.
1) Jorge-san. If only Jorge was here to speak to spanish. He would be so pro with the girls and understand what they were saying :P but no. He is not in waterloo.
2) George. Didn't really want to bother him.
3) Jeremy! Jeremy has a car, and I'm certain he will help us in need.
The Choice.
I called Jeremy and failed to talk to him. We saw the 12 bus come and decided to hop on (Praise God that I had my watcard with me!!). We knew that there was no way the girls can make it for the other bus so I called Jeremy again. Note: it is hard to speak to Jeremy because I am not coherent and I sound too excited on the phone (-.-). Jeremy had a tough time listening what I was trying to say, which was mainly "can you please pick us up at this location pleaaaaaase?" "why?" "because there are two girls that need to go home safely" "why?" "can you just come and get us? I will pay for your gas!" "doris. I don't understand a word you are saying" "can someone please talk to jeremy?" . Justin talks to Jeremy, and Jeremy completely understands Justin -.- (whaaaaaat! I think it is a guy thing....or maybe I just don't know how to converse with people, enunciate, or convey my message properly...). Jeremy comes and picks us up and PRAISE GOD the girl's phone worked (the batteries were dead) and she was able to contact the family she was staying with to pick her and her friend up at the mall.
Conclusions and Praises
Simply put, Jeremy drove, the two girls got onto a van (we assume that it is the family :P) and Jeremy drove us back to uwp. PRAISE GOD FOR JEREMY! wow. To be honest, I was really surprised that he would come out to help in such short notice. Well not really surprised. But I was more flabbergasted to hear that his econ project was due 12:00am and he came out to drive us and the two girls! PRAISE GOD FOR JEREMY AND HIS JEEP. He just came up not too long ago and I had a nice chat with him - mainly about my incoherent-ness and how I need to learn how to converse and should go golfing (-.-). Nevertheless, Jeremy is a good friend.
All in all, Praise God that He placed Jenny, Justin and I to be at a certain place at a certain time. Praise God that Jeremy had a car and was able to come out to help his friends out! Praise God that Jeremy finished his econ project! Praise God that Justin was there! It always feels better when there is a guy present at a situation hahah! :P PRAISE GOD FOR GOD, FOR HE IS GOOD.
A nice report huh? I learned it from engalish class :D hahaha
p.s. on the way to the bus stop at burger king, I saw people inhaling hookah shisha at the meeting point. I never knew what it was. haha, I had to ask Jenny :P the things I learn today. the things I learn.
