Not having summers for the past two years made me forget the experience of well, having a summer. Summer is a season that people looked forward to, especially for those in school. No homework, no teachers, no school, you're free to enjoy the sunshine! I feel blessed as I was able to experience that today. I took the day off today (since no one was at work) and it felt great! Though I have to say, I cannot do this a lot because it'll make lazy or lose the sense of the responsibility that I have. But ahh, so wonderful to be so free! To walk around in the sunshine, down Unionville main street, eating ice cream, walking around too-good pond - as I was saying earlier to my friends, what a day! I even felt younger (HAHAHAHA). I enjoy these simple, peaceful and quiet days as well as the days you're with friends, sitting and chatting. One thing I was reminded of again is that we're all growing up. Seeing my friends moving on/taking a step further in their lives makes me think about my life. Am I moving on/taking a new step? Haaa, I'm happy to say yes! Like NC said, things change and God works in mysterious ways (haa, maybe I'm paraphrasing so I hope I'm not putting words into his mouth). Taking the time to catch up on blogs was nice because God is good and is continuing to shape and produce fruits in my friends. I'm really pleased with God's timing - maybe it comes with age? Like for myself, being able to open up with my co-workers and the people at church, it's pretty unbelievable. Even upon receiving a new book, "Future Grace" by John Piper, I'm very ecstatic to read this book! It just makes me smile thinking about the things I'll learn and re-learn and how God will shape me! :P
What a day! Praise the Lord!
