Went to Tokyo Baptist Church today!! I had a great service; learned about True and False. The topic of "true or false" deals with people thinking that when it comes to moral and spiritual truths, it is usually based on their own opinions. For example, one may think what is true to you may not be true to me and what is true to me may not be true to you. so what is TRUE or FALSE? well, there is real 100% truth in the world. Think about it. 2+2=4, that is a mathematical truth; if you sing out of tune in the showers, chances are, you sing out of tune anytime anywhere - that is a musical truth. It's so easily accepted - that 1+1=2, then how come people are not willing to accept moral and spiritual truths.
John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
There is real truth that can be made known to everybody, but where is this truth found and who decides such truths? (two-word answer) THE WORD; THE BIBLE. And who decided that these moral and spiritual truths never change? (one-word answer) GOD.
if truth comes from God then that truth can never change because God never changes.
Malachi 3:6, "I the Lord do not change"
If truth comes from God then that truth can never be wrong because God never lies and God is never wrong.
So if the Bible was written by men, how can it be the WORD of GOD?
2 Peter 1:20-21, "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of men, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
Men did not write the Bible, God did. And in the Bible, there is a clear distinction found in the Bible defining what is true or false and morally right and wrong.
So are you living your life based on what you think is TRUE or FALSE?
Do you live your life with things more important than God?
Are you in a sinful life that does not honor God?
Are you not a follower of Christ Jesus?
