day 165.
You observe a lot when going to the supermarket with your parents. You stand with the cart/basket, trying to avoid all the people trying to pass you (the aisles are so narrow), and while shuffling from one place to another, you see a lot of frustrated faces - even angry ones. Today I witnessed argument after argument after argument at the fish area. The lady was complaining that this other lady didn't follow the line and butted everyone. Obviously, that lady said no and said that she was "only looking" at the fishes. Technically, it is the company's fault, for poorly setting up the line and placing the "please line up here" signs at two different locations, BUT even so, people still cut in line. I watched the other lady walking back and forth to the fish area - she was embarrassed, maybe guilty for cutting the line. In the end, she got what I think she wanted (salmon steak) and when she returned to her shopping cart, she told her daughters excuses - "I didn't cut in line, she did, I can't believe she did that, I won't buy fishes here anymore". Her family was standing across from me, and I saw that her daughter was embarrassed. Her other daughter actually threw a fit and said let's not have the fish, so "ma fan" and her parents agreed (whaaaat.). So I literally stared at that lady walking to the frozen meat section and she threw the salmon on the shelf. wow. How can you do that? It doesn't make sense. You go on what seems to be a nice grocery shopping time with your family and it turns into a nasty shopping experience. Why does that happen?! What happened to respect, care, and love? Why can't we follow rules? it's really upsetting. It's like how God placed laws for Christians. And we don't always follow them. Why don't we? Why are we so selfish and full of sin? and this probably upsets God.
I came back yesterday from a church retreat and for the past three days, I learned a lot. So hopefully, I will post my thinkings and also reflect on what God has taught me. A personal reflection because that is what I need right now!! :)

act of love, picking up an eggplant from the floor and returned it back to its patch. I actually thought of running it over with the cart, haha. Good thing I didn't, otherwise it wouldn't be nice.
