T-minus 4.

day 69.

I was late meeting up with Jane - again. I'm really sorry. I personally don't like it when I'm late for other people just cause they shouldn't be waiting for me, and its really an effort I have to make to be there on time. but ahhh, I'm sorry, I should've waken up earlier so we could meet up ON time and go to church ON time...something that I need to work on.

church: me vs. big spider
While sitting at simply church, I spotted a spider (fairly large, I would say) coming to my direction. okay, gotta focus on the sermon..but that spider keeps on coming closer!...
last week, we talked about moral decay (acts 5:1-16), and so todays sermon was about persecution and distraction (a continu
ation of acts 5:17-41) - bible passage.
Pastor Tim said that the apostles already had a warning before they were persecuted. SO that means that had a second chance of not proclaiming the gospel. However, the apostles kept on preaching the message and in the end, the warning become a persecution which was, being in jail. BUT but but, (soo cool, are you ready?!), an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. 20"Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life."
(take a moment to breathe that in..) waaaah! so ging God! :) not only did God help the apostles in breaking free, but He continued to tell them to TELL THE PEOPLE THE FULL MESSAGE OF THIS NEW LIFE. It doesn't matter how many chances you get before you're persecuted, but when you're called by God, His sovereign plan is GREAT and overpowers any plan you can well, think of, and the purpose of His plans is for us to be ambassadors. Even when the high priest questioned them, they said:
"We must obey God rather than men!
30The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. 31God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. 32We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."
yeah paul+apostles! way to stand firm! God's plan is unstoppable, and when we are suffering hardships, note this:
suffering hardship builds Christ-like characteristics,
Christ-like characteristics builds perseverance,
perseverance, character,
character, hope.
back to my spider story..
so it came close to me! that I had to raise my legs up and I didn't wanna bring it down cause i'm just scared i'm gonna squish it. what a workout! haha! but fortunately, it ran away and I thanked God. hah thank you! and after the sermon, Pastor Tim was gonna put away the guitar and he was placing it where the spider was, so I yelled noooooo! don't put it there, the guitar would be stained (dun dun dun). He looks at it, picks the spider up in a receipt, (I though he squished it and dead), and holds it to my face and I'm like gaaaah why are you putting this in front of my face, and He says "oh, its still alive..." and I ran away. ugggh. never put live spiders in front of my face, just the thought of it moving when he was holding it, NO.

act of love.
I spent a bit of time catching up with josh k. and jazzzie t.! Jazzie's phone was low on batteries and so I gave her my phone charger! comes in handy when you bring it huh? and thank-you to elena and james for buying ice-caps and food for us! that was yummy wummy! and James for walking portia and I back to mkv, and it was FUUUN times at mkv! oh man, you biomeds, soo smart and funny at the same time! hahah! thanks for a great night/morning! :)
