truth WITH grace.

day 13.

My act of love today was visiting Mr.Awesomeness's church. I went to his english service, and it was fun :) We sang Days of Elijah by Donnie McClurkin - a great song - Prepare Ye the way of the Lord! It was nice. The pastor/reverend talking about nurturing sisters and brothers. The passage was taken from John 1:14;

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
He emphasized on grace and truth with three statements:
Grace without truth = spoiled
Truth without grace = shame
Grace with truth = perfect
(the shame and perfect is kinda iffy, need to double check with mr.awesomeness)

And he gave us great examples. CHICKEN WINGS. yums. he said that churches should act with grace and truth. and it is hard, since we chinese people are good with grace, but not truth. by that I mean, if a brother or sister does wrong, we won't point it out and tell them, we'll hint it to them, hoping they'll get it and correct it. but that is wrong. we should correct one another; nurture one another. and that's what I got from the sermon, it was good, funny, and good. its amazing to see how grace needs truth and truth needs grace, and combine the two together and it's perfect, just how God is. Praise God :) Let your light shine to the ends of the earth, shining ever so greatly for dark to see and come to you Lord! :)
