BE ALERT!

day 27.

Stay Alert! Today at creekside, Pastor Taylor spoke about the end of the world. dun dun dun. I find this subject kinda touchy-feely but at the same time, so interesting. But one thing's for sure - I was reassured by the sermon; I felt more comfortable knowing that Jesus is going to come back again and that everything's gonna be okay. It's just the birth pains that's gonna be well, painful. "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains" (Mark 13:8) And I found out that we can't do anything about that. In verse 7b, "Such things must happen, but the end is still to come", shows that really, we can't stop earthquakes, famines, rumours of wars, wars, nations rising against nations, and kingdoms against kingdoms. But when Jesus is telling His disciples of signs of the end of the age, He focuses more on encouraging believers not to be "deceived" by those that come in His Name. Jesus tells us to NOT be alarmed. Watch out that no one deceives you. That you are ON YOUR GUARD. to NOT WORRY and STAND FIRM. PRAY. BE ON YOUR GUARD. BE ON GUARD! BE ALERT! and He ends off with "What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'WATCH!'" Jesus doesn't even tell us which day He is going to come back - and the reason He doesn't tell us is cause maybe its meaningless to know, and that He doesn't want us to know (He says only God the Father knows). So instead of focusing on the details of what is to happen and when it's going to happen, we should focus more on our response to life events - how we're living it out for the glory of the God. And that's what I got from Ken Taylor's sermon - and his notes!! haha PRAISE GOD! it's so assuring to know that even in the midst of all the pain that we humans are going to go through, in the end, Jesus is going to come back to earth and then everything's gonna be alright. Amen.

day 27 of love love love! My parents came in today - bringing in my business clothes for an upcoming accounting event. ohoh man! THANK YOU SO MUCH! it's so ma fan for them to drive all the way up here and I praise God for giving me amazing parents! My mom was soo happy to see my brother and I! Even my dad was joking around saying "remember how we told you that mom's sick? well, shes not sick anymore cause she just saw you two. instantaneously recovery." awwww, I LOVE YOU MOMMY AND DADDY! And I just hugged and kissed them both. It feels good to be wrapped around in your parents arms, even if you're all grown up too! so PRAISE GOD! haha praisellujah!

today was a coolbeans day (yes, coolbeans). COOLBEANS.
