Yahweh Rapha. Yahweh the Healer. God the Healer. How often do we think that God will heal us of any disease we are inflicted with? It's funny how we believe that God will heal us. And we're right, He always heals us spiritually, but not physically. Today, Rev. Tony Costa (yaaay!!) preached at my church and it was a good wake up call. He spoke about how physical healing, so flu, sickness, cancer, diseases in general, are not guaranteed but a benefit from God. woah, let's pause here. So that means that we aren't always healed. We assume that God is obligated in healing our physical sicknesses, but really, He isn't obligated. In fact, PHYSICAL HEALING IS CONDITIONED BY GOD. You can continually pray to God asking for healing, but God can say "yes" and "NO" and "wait". and the pain and suffering we go through can be thought as God "screaming" at us, saying that HE IS HERE. Tony Costa said that God allows pain and suffering to arouse the sleeping world - a wake up call. When you're sick, you tend to lie down on a bed right? and where do you look when your eyes are open? UP. you look up up up up up up, in the direction of GOD. sooo interesting. So physical healing is conditioned, and everyone has witnessed that. Ones that are healed from sicknesses and those that end up dying - so it is true that physical healing is NOT guaranteed. and we need to wrap our heads around that. For example, Timothy, he had stomach problems and Paul told him to drink wine to help ease the pain, but Timothy was never freed from his problem; Paul describes his suffering as thorned flesh (2 Corinthians 12) and he pleads with God to take the suffering away from him, but God tells him: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Oh how amazing God is!! Praise Him!

Knowing that physical healing is conditioned, spiritual healing is guaranteed. and there is spiritual sickness where you need to renew yourself daily. Tony Costa describes it as the most miraculous thing - new birth; where God takes the "cold stone" in humans (our way within nature) and He makes it into flesh (nature within God), so that it is a new heart created in Jesus Christ. He also mentions that the outward person is perishing, but the inside is renewing daily. And so you need spiritual healing and if you're spiritually sick, you need to set it right with God.

Tony Costa ended off saying that as Christians, we need to carry the cross daily and that we WILL suffer. but but but, we can find REST in God in our suffering. So yes, you may be sick physically and not be healed forever, but you will be healed spiritually for sure.

I talked to my "dearest" friend, shaang (his gaming name -.-) instead of doing my work (gaaah cs). Even though we didn't really talk much or talking about whats going on in our lives (deep-down); it was still nice to just see his face and just talk. and you know, that's the greatest thing with friends. You can just sit there and not talk and it'll still feel like you're catching up. They're really not awkward silences, but friendly moments. So Praise GOD! that he's online and he finished his work so he could talk to meeee! yay shaang! please don't game that much. :)
