hypocrites, beware.

day 20.

Hypocrisy is pretending to be better than I am. And that makes Jesus mad. Today, at Creekside, Pastor Taylor spoke of how hypocrisy makes Jesus mad - Mark 11:12-17 (Jesus clears the temple).

12The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.

15On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written:
" 'My house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.' "

Focussing (that's not a word, sorry) on the fig tree, I learned something really cool. First of all, Jesus was hungry. He then came upon a fig tree with leaves (interesting part). Apparently, during that time, it wasn't the season(?) for fig trees to bear fruits, but this one fig tree had leaves, indicating that there's food for Jesus to eat. Keep in mind that He's hungry. Finding that the tree bears no fruit, Jesus curses the tree (no, not swearing, but putting a curse on it). I'll make it short (if you want to know more - holla). So basically, when we put on masks, pretending to be someone else, we, I suppose I can say, piss Jesus off. Why? He sees right through you, and He knows what you're thinking, and it bugs Him when you're not who you are. So I found today's sermon REALLY interesting. I can go on and on talking about this, but I kinda wanna go sleep. So moving on!

act of love 20: I met up with a great friend of mine, Donna, (some would say we're twins, but that we're just short and are asians), and it was good. I guess you can say, I re-established our friendship, and it was worth not doing cs any day. So praise God! in having Donna come to waterloo so that I can chit-chat with her!! THANK YOU!

What else is on my mind. NG (Naive Guy). hahha you're waiting for me to blog this sooooo hiii! and sorry for being slow at writing this blog - so much to think, so little time (for sleep). My friend, NG is really nice guy, and like any other, he stumbled away for God, and I'm glad he's talking to me about it. NG, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU. that (ahem - girls will stay away from you) and that you'll find who you are (except I still think you know who you are). But really, don't dwell on the past, but look forward. And always remember!
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. (James 4:7-8a). I pray that Satan won't grab a hold of your heart and that no matter what stresses or obstacles you're facing, you'll seek God :)

And so, I bid thee farewell me blog. I really need to sleep. hahah! Praise GOD for His unending love for us, woooooo!
